Deutsch: Selbstporträt Marées und Porträt Lenbachs (Doppelporträt). Das Doppelbildnis mit dem Maler Franz Lenbach (1836-1904), mit dem sich Marées in München befreundete und 1864 nach Italien ging, betont durch Hell-Dunkel-Kontraste überscharf die Gegensätzlichkeit ihrer Charaktere.
